Rubric for blog posts
Hello parents and students,
Here is the link for the blogging rubric. This is the rubric that I will be using for all future blog posts. Student blogs will be read regularly by me, hopefully by parents and colleagues, too! For marking purposes, students will receive one mark per month for their posts. They will also be getting regular comments with suggestions and hopefully lots of praise on a regular basis. Looking forward to some great blog posts!

Posting comments
Hello parents, here are a few useful points to help your son or daughter post comments on their friends' blogs
The method that I have taught them follows these 4 steps;
1) Gather facts
2) Make Connections
3) Ask Questions
4) Give Opinions
And a few sentence starters for their comments....
- This reminds me of…
- This is similar to…
- I wonder…
- I realized…
- I noticed…
- You can relate this to…
- I’d like to know…
- I’m surprised that…
- If I were ________, I would ______________
- If __________ then ___________
- Although it seems…
- I’m not sure that… .
Once again, I want to thank all of our parents for the support that they have been able to give the kids as they explorer blogging!
